October 4, 2008: Captain Chris and Captain Earl sailed on
a bass/blues trip and caught a total of 16 Bass and 12 blues
including 6 keeper bass with 2 fish over 20lbs. It was yet
another successful early morning trip.
October 1, 2008. Captain Chris went out on a recon trip by
himself to Block Island and caught 16 bass including 10 keepers and
3 fish of 20lbs or more, plus 21 bluefish. That was 41

pushed the fish off, they are still here in good numbers.

Captain Chris and Captain Earl took out a group and caught 31
stripers and 63 bluefish, including 12 keepers and 2 fish over
20lbs, limiting out on bass for this trip.
September 8, 2008. Lots of Stripers at Block Island,
Captain Chris took out a trip this day and they caught 44 bass and
15 bluefish including a 32lb Bass and a 15lb Bluefish (this trip
limited out on Bass). The
striper fishing is great.
Fishing last season was great. We took
out hundreds of people from Connecticut, RI , Massachusetts,
and other states on a lot of fishing excursions and not even once did
we fail to catch fish. Many happy customers stepped onto the
dock at the end of the day. We also wish to thank our new
customers and the many
returning customers we had for 2007, as it makes it all
worthwhile to hear back from those of you who had a good time with
us before and expected to do it again a second, third, or fourth
time. We are looking forward to another banner year.
The new Webber's cove boat Adventure 2
is now in the water and in use for charters. We are very excited about this
new boat which has a lot more cockpit room then the old one (17'
long by 11' wide in the back), providing plenty of room to drift fish,
allowing 6 anglers to fish from one side of the vessel with no
problem. Many of our regular customers who love to fish for flounder and Totaug especially will appreciate the room.
This boat also has a much superior ride and better sustained
cruising speed than our previous vessel.
We
are still sailing out of Jim's Dock, in Jerusalem, Rhode Island right
across from the Galilee and Point Judith charter fleet. It is a beautiful little
marina and restaurant located on the water, off the same exit as
East Matunuck State Beach. The restaurant is only open from
May-September. Charter a half day trip with us then have lunch
at the restaurant after we return from the tours.
The Season is in full swing. We have already taken out
people on Tautog fishing charters which are now closed until
July 1st. Stripers are in and we are fishing for them, as well
as Bluefish and Flounder. Eventually in July or August we will see tuna and
sharks show up as well. Time to start thinking
about going on a charter boat. Check out the
Rhode Island fishing charters calendar for
detailed information about when our guides will be active again. |
