Adventure and Aces Wild light tackle boats will
provide you with an entertaining day as you fish
the waters around Block Island, Newport,
Narragansett, and Port Judith in Rhode Island.
Aces
Wild (a 22' Mako) is a perfect charter boat for Block Island
light tackle striper fishing with just a couple of
anglers or Point Judith flounder fishing with up to
four fishermen.
The Adventure is a Webber Cove 33' Down-East style vessel. The
Down-East hull is designed to handle turbulent Rhode
Island waters with an excellent ride. The
gigantic cockpit provides enough room to allow light
tackle striper fishing from
this boat. Easily fish 6 anglers off one side
when drifting or anchored for flounder or tautog.
The Adventure is also a great RI striper fishing
charter boat.
All the latest electronics are installed on
this boat:
2 GPS chartplotters, Radar, Sonar, and 1 VHF
radio. This equipment really helps put the boat
on top of fish, showing the boat's position on
bathymetric charts and position of fish and structure,
things that are important for finding striped bass.
The charter boat has a single Isuzu industrial
marine diesel engine installed providing a 16 knot
cruising speed. The two-hundred gallon fuel
capacity gives a 350nm range. The cabin has an
enclosed bathroom on the
right
as you enter the sleeping berths below. There is an area
on the left to lie down if you
get tired of catching fish while we cruise Block
Island.
The charter boat Adventure is just across
the harbor from Point Judith, Rhode Island.
We can look across the Galilee channel and see the
commercial fish boats there on the docks, and the
Block Island ferry landing. Also across the
way is Champlin's seafood restaurant and George's of
Galilee.
We also have the 22'
Aces Wild for light tackle trips (scroll
below).
