We could only keep 6 fish and limited out. We went on to catch

July 21, 2008. Captain Chris and Captain Earl sailed on
a half day bass trip in the overcast and fog and the fish were on
the attack like kamikaze fliers. At the end of the trip we
boated 43 bass including 17 keepers and had to throw back 5 fish
because we were limited out. It was a great day.
July 19, 2008. Captain Chris and Earl sailed on a full

gallons of fillets. It was a excellent trip.
July 15, 2008. Captain Chris sailed on a bass/flounder
trip and found nothing but weed all over the south shore, so he took
the client out to Block Island which saved the day. 8 bass up
to 34lbs and many bluefish were caught including some dogfish (there
are thousands of them out at Block Island right now). We
finished the day with a hour's flounder fishing and caught 28 fish
including 5 keepers.
July 10, 2008. Captain Chris sailed on a half day
bass/flounder trip along the south shore and caught 13 bass, 6

right now. South shore fishing has never been better.

excellent day of flounder fishing--our best yet!

July 6, 2008. Captain Chris and Earl sailed this day on
a bass trip and caught 8 big bass and 4 bluefish then went on to
catch another 20 flounder all in a half day trip. All the Bass
and Blues were taken on light tackle with plugs and soft plastic

Fishing last season was great. We took
out hundreds of people from Connecticut, RI , Massachusetts,
and other states on a lot of fishing excursions and not even once did
we fail to catch fish. Many happy customers stepped onto the
dock at the end of the day. We also wish to thank our new
customers and the many
returning customers we had for 2007, as it makes it all
worthwhile to hear back from those of you who had a good time with
us before and expected to do it again a second, third, or fourth
time. We are looking forward to another banner year.
The new Webber's cove boat Adventure 2
is now in the water and in use for charters. We are very excited about this
new boat which has a lot more cockpit room then the old one (17'
long by 11' wide in the back), providing plenty of room to drift fish,
allowing 6 anglers to fish from one side of the vessel with no
problem. Many of our regular customers who love to fish for flounder and Totaug especially will appreciate the room.
This boat also has a much superior ride and better sustained
cruising speed than our previous vessel.
We
are still sailing out of Jim's Dock, in Jerusalem, Rhode Island right
across from the Galilee and Point Judith charter fleet. It is a beautiful little
marina and restaurant located on the water, off the same exit as
East Matunuck State Beach. The restaurant is only open from
May-September. Charter a half day trip with us then have lunch
at the restaurant after we return from the tours.
The Season is in full swing. We have already taken out
people on Tautog fishing charters which are now closed until
July 1st. Stripers are in and we are fishing for them, as well
as Bluefish and Flounder. Eventually in July or August we will see tuna and
sharks show up as well. Time to start thinking
about going on a charter boat. Check out the
Rhode Island fishing charters calendar for
detailed information about when our guides will be active again. |
